ACCREDITATIONS AND PARTNERS

The Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology (NUCHMT) has received five(5) year institutional registration from The Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) as a Competency-Based education (CBT) provider based on Act 1023.  The institution’s registration number is CT-TP0687/22.  DOWNLOAD DOCUMENT HERE

The College has also developed two National Occupational Standards programmes at the Higher National Diploma and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Naturopathy and Holistic Medicine under the Commission for TVET. DOWNLOAD DOCUMENT HERE

The Two programmes have been approved by the Commission for TVET and the college is in the process of receiving full accreditation. This is the first of its kind in  Ghana and on the continent of Africa.

Traditional Medicine Practice Council, Ministry of Health

The Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology (NUCHMT) is the first private tertiary school in Ghana to receive approval for the  Higher National Diploma and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Naturopathy and Holistic Medicine from the Traditional Medicine Practice Council(TMPC), Ministry of Health, based on Act 575, after successful development of the National Occupational Standards under Commission for CTVET. The Traditional Medicine Practice Council (TMPC) is the statutory institution of the Ministry of Health (MoH), mandated by the Traditional Medicine Practice Act 2000, Act 575 to regulate and safeguard the image of Traditional Medicine and based on Ministerial directives, Alternative Medicine (TAM) practice in Ghana.

Successful students sit for the Professional Qualifying Exams (PQE) to enable them to obtain their licenses to practice the trade of Naturopathy and Holistic Medicine in Ghana.

Tema General Hospital

The Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology(NUCHMT) is in clinical training collaboration with the Tema General Hospital. Our students are trained clinically at the Tema General Hospital in the various departments in the Mainstream Medical aspect as part of the promotion of integrative and evidence-based Naturopathic Practices.

The clinical training is done under the supervision of the Medical doctors. This collaboration was approved by the Ghana Health Service(GHS). The Tema General Hospital also has a Herbal Medicine Department and this further exposes the Naturopathic Medical Students to the clinical practice of Herbal Medicine.

Naturopathic Centers

Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology is in clinical partnership with Naturopathic Clinical centers in Ghana and abroad to provide evidence-based training at designated facilities.

The Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology(NUCHMT) programs in Naturopathy meet the World Naturopathic Federation(WNF), Canada, and World Health Organization(WHO) benchmarks for Naturopathic education. The College

is also an Educational Member of the World Naturopathic Federation(WNF). It is the first Naturopathic Medical School to be accepted as an educational Member of the WNF in Ghana, West Africa, and on the African Continent. 

Lincoln University College, Malaysia.

Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology(NUCHMT), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Lincoln University College, Malaysia, to offer the Professional Diploma and Bachelor of  Science Homeopathic Medicine. “Graduates of  Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology(NUCHMT) programs receive their Diplomas and Degrees from Lincoln University College, Malaysia.  “Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology(NUCHMT) does not award its diploma or degree.” 

Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology(NUCHMT), is the facilitator or study center for the homeopathic medicine courses.

Lincoln University College (LUC), located in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia was established in the year 2002 as Lincoln College (LC) and upgraded to Lincoln University College in the year 2011. Lincoln University College is one of the premier private institutions of higher education approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Malaysian Qualifying Agency (MQA- National Accreditation Board).

The University College got a 5-star ranking from the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia in 2017. Lincoln University College is among the nine Malaysian universities listed in the Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings 2019. It is also an ISO 9001:2015 certified academic institution.

Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology(NUCHMT), is in clinical partnership with JDS Multi Super Speciality Homoeopathic Hospital & Research Centre, India, for clinical training of homeopathic medical students in India for three months.

UNIVERSITY OF AMERICA, CURACAO

Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology(NUCHMT), has a provisional collaboration with UoA Curacao for some holistic medicines diploma programs only. “Graduates of Nyarkotey College of Holistic Medicine programs receive their Diplomas from the UoA. “Nyarkotey College of Holistic Medicine does not award its diploma or degree.” “The University of America Curacao is licensed by the Curacao government (License no: OFS 0649/2019) and received its Royal Charter to award recognized diplomas and degrees from the Prime Minister and Minister of Education Science and Culture of Curacao. Eudoxia Research Centre, India

Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology(NUCHMT), is in research collaboration with Eudoxia Research Centre, India, for student research training.

The African Naturopathic Foundation(ANF) is a professionally independent, nonprofit research institute whose mission is to conduct rigorous, high-quality, research on the art and science of healing, specifically working to understand natural forms of medicine. The foundation also provides Legal aid to Naturopathic practitioners in the course of cases of medical-legal issues, provides financial aid to naturopathic researchers, and disseminates information to the public on Naturopathy. Together, scientists from the fields of naturopathic medicine, African Traditional Medicine, Chinese medicine, Homeopathy, acupuncture, immunology, and nutrition apply their expertise to the study of natural medicine.
