CAMPUS LIFE
HISTORY OF THE SRC
There came a time when the SRC became a necessity in the college. There were many situations that directly and indirectly affected the lives of Naturopathic Medical students in the college. To address these situations, there was the need to establish a student representative council so that their voices would be heard as proposed by the President of the college.
This desire and passion to promote modern Naturopathy in Ghana and beyond led to a united body and birthed the Students’ Representative Council (SRC), as a common platform for the collective representation of students in decision-making to enhance Naturopathic education.
THE PRESENT SRC
The SRC of Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology(NUCHMT) has embraced a lot of responsibilities and are considered in the development of the school. The college’s SRC concerns itself with all aspects of students’ welfare within the University. In addition to that, it coordinates the activities of academic, religious, and recreational clubs and societies. It serves as a link between the student body and the administration.
Once an individual becomes a registered student of the Nyarkotey College of Medicine, the individual automatically becomes a member of the SRC. All students are hence eligible and encouraged to participate in one or more of the various programs and events of the SRC.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
The SRC aims at prioritizing the interests and welfare of the entire student body of the college. They serve as the mouthpiece of the entire student body of the University. The SRC communicates the interests of the students to the appropriate authorities of the university.
The SRC aims to establish good relations between students of the University and the outside community by working hand-in-hand with other student organizations in Ghana and elsewhere in matters of mutual interest.
